Evelyn Tharp Rinehart French

Evelyn Tharp Rinehart French, 68, of Reidsville, North Carolina, passed away Thursday, July 8, 2021, at Anne Penn Hospital in Reidsville, North Carolina. She was born February 20, 1953, in Webster Springs, West Virginia to the late Brandon Tharp and Myrtle Baker Tharp.

In addition to her parents, Evelyn was preceded in death by her first husband, Harold D. Rinehart; Emma Jean Elswick; brothers, Harold Tharp, James Tharp, and Isaac Tharp.

Evelyn was a member of Vance Street Baptist Church. She was an avid sports fan. Her favorite football teams were Dallas Cowboys and West Virginia Mountaineers. She also enjoyed working in her flower bed.

Evelyn is survived by her husband, Jerry French; step-children, Phil, Sid and Pam; sisters, Helen McMillion (Roger) and Ruth Kiser; two nieces, four nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Thursday, July 15, 2021, at Vance Street Baptist Church, at 12 noon, with Pastor Jack Land officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Reidlawn Cemetery.
