Raymond Miller Minnick

Raymond Miller Minnick, 74, of Bassett, passed away Tuesday, July 13, 2021, at his residence. He was born May 27, 1947 in Radford, to the late Elmore Cecil Minnick and Mamie Florence (Vaught). In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, JoAnn Rorrer Minnick and a sister, Dorothy Louise Gray.

He proudly served his country in the United States Army, attended Faith Baptist Church, and had been employed by Bassett Furniture Industries and Guardsman Chemical for 30 years.

Raymond is survived by daughters, Melissa Minnick and Georgia Kay Minnick; sons, Raymond M. Minnick, II, and Robert “Bobby” Minnick; sisters, Patricia “Patty” Jefferson and Nellie Handy; brother, Elmore Dean Minnick; and grandchildren, Joshua Lee Minnick, Taylor Sowers, B. J. Minnick, Leigh Ann Minnick and Charity Minnick.

Services will be at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Wright Funeral Service & Crematory, 1425 Greensboro Road, Martinsville, VA 24112, for Raymond Minnick arrangements.
