Billie Jean Rose Tuggle

Billie Jean Rose Tuggle, 84, of Bassett, Virginia passed away Sunday, July 11, 2021, at SOVAH Health of Martinsville. She was born December 23, 1936, in McDowell, Virginia to the late William Cornelius and Rhoda Kene Rose. She retired from Bassett Walker.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Bessie Nester, Edna Hall, Ruth Surber, Carol Carter and Jessica Rose; brothers, Ivan Rose, Lawrence Rose, Junior Rose, James Everett Rose, Walter Rose, Tebay Rose, Marcus Rose and Carson Rose.

She is survived by her husband Melvin L. “Lindy” Tuggle; daughter, Brenda Jean Tuggle; son, David Melvin Tuggle; special nieces, Donna Robin Hylton, Judy Gleason and Genia Walker; and twin grand-nephews, Christopher Eugene Hylton and Joseph William Hylton.

The funeral will be held on Thursday, July 15, 2021, at 2:00 PM at Wright Funeral Service Chapel with Pastor Michael Harrison officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Roselawn Burial Park.
