Melissa "Missy" Haynes Thomasson

Melissa "Missy" Haynes Thomasson, 42, of Roanoke passed away Monday, July 12, 2021. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Lewis and Marie Van Lear, and William and Pauline Haynes; and an aunt, Carol Van Lear.

Missy was a 1997 graduate of Northside High School and was employed in the Human Resources Department of several local businesses.

Surviving are her husband, Bryan Thomasson; children, Taylor Shonhor and Maddelena "Madde" Sheperd; parents, Kenny and Donna Haynes; brother, Chris (Pat) Haynes; nephew, Gabe Haynes; aunt and uncle, Karen and Harold Criner; and a number of cousins.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorials be made to a charity of the donor's choice.

The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday, July 15, 2021 at Simpson Funeral Home 5160 Peters Creek Road. 366-0707
