Barbara Sue Stowers Tickle

BARBARA SUE STOWERS TICKLE, 74, of Bastian, VA, passed away Wednesday, July 28, 2021. She was born April 28, 1947 in Bluefield, WV, the daughter of the late William (“Bill”) F. Stowers & Margaret V.  Looney Stowers Harmon.
Barbara enjoyed life and lived a good life. The loves of her life were her grandchildren and her great-granddaughter. She enjoyed doing anything with her grandchildren and attended many of their sporting events. She had a wealth of wisdom, enjoyed cooking and enjoyed going shopping with her friends, “Mamaw” Mason and Debbie Hull. She enjoyed watching NASCAR racing and was an avid Dale Earnhardt, Sr. fan.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Kenneth Tickle.
Left to cherish her memory are her son & daughter-in-law, Crockett & Kelli Sarver; her grandchildren, Tyler Crockett Sarver & fiancée Brittany Caldwell and their daughter, Stella Jean Sarver and Taylor Leighann Sarver; her sister, Shelby Stowers Gwyn; special friends, Rick & Dabbie Hull and Sylvia (“Mamaw”) Mason; and her special pet companion, her dog, “Wilson.”
Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 31, 2021 at 1:00 P.M. at Bastian Union Church with Rev. Cliff Bowman officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church from 11:00 A.M. until service time, 1:00 P.M.
