Jimmy "Lee" Adams, Jr.

Jimmy “Lee” Adams, Jr., 33, of Franklin, Tennessee and formerly of Bassett, passed away Saturday, August 7, 2021 at home. Lee was born in Hendersonville, Tennessee on February 2, 1988 the son of Jimmy Lee Adams, Sr. and Darleen Purdy. Preceded in death by his grand parents; Sam and Stella Clark and Willie and Louise Adams.

Lee graduated from Nashville State University where he received his associate degree in English. He also attended Cumberland University and was one semester shy of receiving his bachelor's degree in English.

In addition to his parents, Lee is survived by his step-mother, Ashley Adams and step- father, Eddie Purdy. Also surviving is his fiancé, Joshua Rawls; four sisters; Tabitha Watkins, Jessica Shelton, Masey Adams and Adaley Adams; one brother, Jimmy “Little Jimmy” Adams; several nieces and nephews.

The visitation will be Friday, August 13 from 12 pm – 2 pm in the chapel of Bassett Funeral Service with funeral service to follow at 2:00 pm with Rev. Charles Wickham officiating. Burial will follow in Old Center Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.

Due to the governor’s requirements for Covid-19, a face covering is recommended and social distancing is to be observed when visiting at the chapel.
