David L. "Dave" Johnson

David L. "Dave" Johnson, 59, of Vinton, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, August 9, 2021. He was preceded by his mother, Gloria Jean Thomas; father, James Milton Johnson; and stepfather, Kyle Gene Thomas.

Surviving are his wife of 26 years, Andrea "Andie" Hodges Johnson; children, David Patrick Douglas Johnson (Trish Adams), Rachel Jean Johnson, (Chris Pickett), and Joseph Kyle Johnson (Kinsey Arnold); grandchildren, Vala Johnson, Benjamin Arnold, Gwenievere Johnson and Madelyn Johnson; brothers, James Johnson Jr. (Ginger) and Steven Johnson (Vivian); and numerous nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be conducted 11 a.m. Thursday, August 12, 2021, at Franklin Memorial Park with Pastor Jason Gault officiating. The family will receive friends from 5 until 8 p.m. Wednesday, August 11, 2021, at the Electric Road Chapel of Simpson Funeral Home 3912 Electric Road Roanoke, VA 24018, 540-632-4200.
