Billy William Hairston

Billy William Hairston, 76, of Ridgeway, Virginia passed away Thursday, August 12, 2021, at UNC Rockingham Hospital. He was born April 28, 1945, in Stoneville, North Carolina to the late Lilly Hopper Bethea. He was a member of Temple Christ Holiness Church and had worked as a CNA at Morehead Hospital. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.

In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his sister, Nancy Walton; and brother, Johnny Hopper.

Mr. Hairston is survived by his wife, Nancy Holland Hairston; several children; sister, Claudine Bethea; and brother, Tommy Hopper; nieces and nephews; Deacon Madison D. (Gertrude) Hairston, Minister Valaire M. (Deacon Tony) Pilson, Dianne D. (Reverend George, Sr.) Price and Josie W. King.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, August 19, 2021, at 11:00 A. M. at Carver Memorial Gardens.
