Connie Lynn Grice Moore

Connie Lynn Grice Moore, 72, of Salem, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, August 15, 2021. Born in Roanoke, on Tuesday, March 22, 1949, to the late Luther and Gladys Juanita Bailey Grice, she is also preceded in death by a son, Marshall Meredith Moore, II; brothers, Jerry Wyna Grice and Larry Grice; sisters, Anita Grice and Judy Grice; as well as a special granddaughter, Kimberly Alyssa Nicole Grice.

Connie loved being outdoors. She especially enjoyed camping and sitting on the riverbank with a fishing pole and a baited hook. She always looked forward to playing bingo every summer when the Salem Fair came to town and shopping for handmade treasures during Olde Salem Days in the fall. She loved to dance and could flat foot with the best of them. She cared greatly for others and selflessly served vocationally as a nursing assistant. Above all, she loved making other people happy and spending time with her family.

Left to cherish her memory is her son, Jason Edward Grice (Patricia Stump); grandchildren, Zackary Grice, Christopher Jordon, Matthew Fajardo, William Stump, Nathen Fajardo, Tiffany Moore, and Marshell Saw Moore; brother, Eddie Grice; sister, Brenda Grice; and close friends, Melissa, Bonnie, and Linda.

A memorial service is being planned for a later date.

The family would like to express their sincerest gratitude to the staff of Lewis Gale Medical Center for the compassionate care given to Connie and their family.
