Dorothy Helga Sutherland Bravo

Dorothy Helga Sutherland Bravo passed away on August 20, 2021. Dorothy was born on July 29, 1962, in Heidelberg, Germany to the late Homer Sutherland and Johanna Schwald Gundlach. She graduated from Briggs High School in Columbus, Ohio in 1980. She enjoyed spending time with her husband David Bravo Velazquez and their dog Daisy at their home in Martinsville, Virginia, where she attended Stanleytown’s Amazing Grace Baptist Church. She was dedicated to her family and liked laughing and telling stories. Dorothy never met a stranger, and her fun-loving personality was treasured by all who knew her. She loved all animals, but especially horses, and at one point worked at a horse stable. She loved visiting the farm and was a farm girl at heart. She lives on in her family’s numerous memories and stories. Memorial service will be announced later.
