Tony Curtis Jamerson

May 23, 1965 - August 24, 2021

Tony Curtis Jamerson, 56, of Gladstone, passed away on Monday, August 23, 2021 at Lynchburg General Hospital. He was the loving husband of Brenda Litchford Jamerson for 38 years.

Born in Farmville, on May 23, 1965, he was a son of Beatrice Bryant Jamerson and the late Edward Wayne Jamerson. He was a member of Gethsemane Baptist Church in Lynchburg. Tony spent his life working in the logging industry running a skidder and driving trucks. He started his logging career at a young age working alongside his father and brothers for their family business Jamerson and Sons Logging. Since 2013 he worked as a driver for DNA logging. Tony was an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved hunting and fishing with his sons and grandkids. He liked going to the races in South Boston and enjoyed driving his brothers race car at the dirt track at Eastside Speedway. On Sundays, you could find him in his recliner watching nascar or his Dallas Cowboys. Tony took great pride in his family and was loved by everyone who knew him, there will never be another like him, he will be dearly missed.

In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by a son Jeffery Jamerson and Jessica of Wingina; six grandchildren, Jordan, Presten, Brayden, Brooklyn, Blake and Jacob; three brothers, Wayne E. “Butch” Jamerson and Joan of Wingina, L. Bruce Jamerson of Gladstone and David G. Jamerson of Wingina; one sister, Wanda Fay Jamerson of Wingina; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a son, Kendall Jamerson.

A funeral service will be held 10 a.m., Friday, August 27, 2021 at Robinson Funeral Home with Rev. Carlton Duck officiating. Burial will follow in the Jamerson Family Cemetery off Rt. 60.

The family will receive friends from 6 until 8:00 p.m., Thursday, August 26, 2021.
