Phyllis Ann Spicer

Phyllis A. Spicer, 68, of Bassett, passed away on Wednesday, August 25, 2021 at Sovah Health - Martinsville.  She was born in Stuart, Virginia on October 15, 1952 to the late Lester Gilley and the late Ellen Gilley. 
Phyllis is survived by a son, Ronnie Daniel Adkins of Bassett; daughters, Kim Sprouse (Jeff) of Collinsville and  Sarah Wilmouth of Goldsboro, NC; grandchildren, MaKayla Sprouse, Kimberly Adkins and Carey Adkins; one great-grandchild, Kaleesi Anne Maria Nolasco; brother, Danny Gilley of Bassett; sisters, Rodaliah “Sissy” Rorrer (Larry) and Brenda Baliles both of Bassett; step-children, Roger Dean Spicer, Jr. (Kara) of Ripley, TN and Jeffery Shane Spicer of Paris, TN; several nieces, nephews, and friends.
The family will receive friends on Monday, August 30, 2021 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM in the Bassett Funeral Service Chapel, where a funeral service will follow at 1:00 PM with Pastor Bennie Redd and Pastor Danny Gilley officiating.  Burial will follow at New Hope Church of the Brethren Cemetery in Staurt.
