Bobby Preston Mowles

Bobby Preston Mowles, 88, of Salem, passed away Friday, September 17, 2021. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War and retired from the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Salem.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Johnie E. and Etta Hill Mowles; and his beloved wife of 64 years, Frances “Granny” Christensen Mowles, who passed away 3 weeks ago.

He is survived by his daughter, Denise W. Pollard and her husband, Bob; his grandchildren, Matt Pollard and wife, Andi; and Tracy Hale and husband, Josh; his beloved great grandchildren, Mason, Claire, Maclin and Graham; nephews, Gene and Forrest Beeco.

Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, September 23, 2021 with Rev. Dan Netting officiating.

Bobby was the perfect grandfather, providing much fun at the lake, shooting guns and showing his family a quiet, dignified man to be respected by all.
