Dennis Harrison Ashby

Dennis Harrison Ashby, 72, of Martinsville, Virginia passed away Wednesday, September 29, 2021, at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital. He was born May 31, 1949, in Martinsville, Virginia to the late Melvin Harrison Ashby and Roslyn McNeely Ashby. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and his family, especially his beloved girls, granddaughters and great granddaughter.

He is survived by his wife, Norma Barlow Ashby; daughters, Kimberly Rea (Randall Hutcherson), and Lisa Wilson (Brad); sister, Debra Warren (Benny); grandchildren, Lindsey Nester (Bryson), Macey Cannaday (Austin), Natalie Wilson, Kelsie Rea and Hollie Wilson; great-granddaughter, Emerie Nester; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral will be held on Monday, October 4, 2021, at 1:00 P. M. at Wright Funeral Service Chapel with Reverend Brad Wilson officiating. Visitation will be Sunday, October 3, 2021, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Wright Funeral Service Chapel. Burial will follow the service at Roselawn Burial Park.
