Annie Bell Hairston Mitchell

Annie Bell Hairston Mitchell, 96, of Greensboro, North Carolina passed away Sunday, October 3, 2021, at her home. She was born January 11, 1925, in Martinsville, Virginia to the late Thomas and Mary Ann Hairston. She was a member of Elect Church of Jesus Christ. Annie was a cake baker, enjoyed fishing and working in the church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Isabelle Hairston; sons, Lee Hairston and Willie Hairston; and two grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, Alfonzo Mitchell; daughter, Debra Kellam; son, Al Mitchell (Mary); and twelve grandchildren.

A funeral will be held on Saturday, October 9, 2021, at 1:30 P.M. at Wright Funeral Service Chapel. Visitation will be thirty minutes prior to the service. Burial will follow at The Hairston Family Cemetery, Cabell Street, Martinsville, Virginia. A floating visitation will be held on Friday, October 8, 2021, from 3:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. at Wright Funeral Service Chapel.
