Clyde Thomas Mayberry, Sr.

Clyde Thomas Mayberry Sr, 77, of Appomattox died at Oakwood Health and Rehab on Monday, October 4, 2021. He was the husband of Debra M. Mayberry.

Born on June 16, 1944, in Appomattox, he was the son of the late James Berkley Mayberry and Frances Elizabeth Mann Mayberry. He was a member of Friendship Baptist Church and worked as a farmer.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by five children, Clyde T. Mayberry Jr., Kristie M. Coffer and husband, John, Eric Mann and wife, Melissa, Tony Mann, and Jason Mann; two sisters, Ida Crawley, and Louise Doss; nine grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and his beloved canine companion, Ginger Po.

He was preceded in death by his sisters, Alice Clapp and Shirley Collier, and brothers Edward Mayberry, James Mayberry, and Russell Mayberry.

A graveside service will be held 10:00 a.m., Thursday, October 7, 2021, at The Mayberry Family Cemetery with Clergyman George L. Evans II officiating.
