Delores "Dolly" Jean Wright

DELORES (“DOLLY”) JEAN WRIGHT, 78, of Bland, VA, walked into the gates of Heaven on Wednesday, October 7, 2021. She was born December 17, 1942 in Bland, VA, the daughter of the late James & Margaret Taylor Walker.
Dolly was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Richard C. Wright and her son, James E. Wright.
Those left to cherish her memory are her daughters & son-in-law, Debra & Steve Scott and Rita Sargent; her son & daughter-in-law, Dwayne & Marlene Wright; her grandchildren, Amber O’Shields, Todd Simmons, Rebecca Gearren, Stefany Turner, Amanda Scott, Donald S. Wright, Richard Wright, Courtney Belcher, Natasha Epperson and Trever Newman; 12 great-grandchildren; and two special friends, Jean Lambert and Linda McPeak.
Per her wishes, Dolly will be cremated. The family plans a private service at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be made in Dolly’s honor to the Bland County Volunteer Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 585. Bland, VA, 24315.
