Melvin Conell Menefee

Melvin Conell Menefee, 63, of Martinsville, Virginia passed away Saturday October 9th, 2021, at Sovah Martinsville. He was born in Franklin County, Virginia, on April 4th, 1958, to the late Vernell Menefee and Ocie Stanley Menefee.

Mr. Menefee was preceded in death by a daughter Keisha Thomas.

Mr. Menefee was employed with Clarences Steak House for 20 years as a cook. He loved fishing, children, drawing, and was a handyman. He attended Waterway Temple in Bassett VA.

He is survived by his daughters; Jerica Stanley, Destiny Thomas, Latasha Thomas, Brittany Thomas, Jasmine Thomas; sons; Michael Thomas, Eric Thomas, Brandon Thomas, Melvin Thomas, Antwan Thomas, Layfette Thomas; sister Ladonna Menefee, brothers; Chris Menefee and Robin Menefee; six grandchildren.

A floating visitation will be held on October 12th, 2021, from 1:00 PM until 6:00 PM at Wright Funeral Service Chapel. The funeral will be on October 13th, 2021, at 2:00 PM at Wright Funeral Service Chapel with Minister Collisa Stanley officiating. Interment will be at Stanley Family Cemetery, in Bassett, VA.
