Joan Stump

Joan Stump, 78, of Salem passed away on October 19, 2021 at her residence.

A native of Virginia she was the wife of the late, James H Stump, and the daughter of Lester and Mildred Stoneman, both deceased. Joan was also preceded in death by her son, Jeff Stump; her brother, Dudley Stoneman; and her sister, Rhonda Stoneman. Joan was a member of Glenvar Baptist Church. She enjoyed gardening and flowers.

Joan loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She is survived by her daughter, Elaine Gray and husband Mike; three grandchildren, Ashleigh Gray, Allison Gray, and Dylan Stump; and daughter in law, Melissa Stump.

The family will receive friends at Lotz Funeral Home in Salem on Thursday, October 21, 2021 from 6:00 until 8:00 pm and on Friday, October 22, 2021 from 10:00 until 11:00 am. A funeral service will follow on Friday at 11:00 am in the Lotz Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Sherwood Memorial Park.
