Michael Ira Norfleet

Michael I Norfleet, 68, of Roanoke passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, October 20, 2021.

Michael was a member of New Covenant Christian Church, a former member of the Roanoke Lifesaving Crew, a life member of the Fort Lewis Fire Department and a former employee of Carilion Police Department, a job he truly enjoyed.
Michael was known for is enthusiastic nature of calling little league games, his eagerness to serve others, his way of making others laugh and his eagerness of being the first on the Fire Truck to report for duty.

Michael is preceded in death by his loving parents Willard and Helen Norfleet, sister, Shirley Ann Norfleet, granddaughter Shreen Marie AlBeesheh and father- n- law, Harvey Pack.

Michael is survived by his wife of 19 years, Connie Norfleet, his daughter Julie Parsons and her husband Todd, his daughter Taylor Norfleet, his Son, Travis Norfleet, and Stepson, Adam Johnson. Granddaughters Macie and Marley Parsons, Grandson, Trystan Hill and Mother-n-law, Sandy Pack.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 28,2021 from 5-8pm at Lotz Funeral Home, 1001 Franklin Rd, SW, Roanoke, VA.

A memorial service to honor and celebrate Michael’s life will be held on Saturday, October 30, 2021 at 2pm at New Covenant Christian Church, 4807 Cove Rd, Roanoke, VA 24017.

The family would like to express their sincere appreciation and gratitude to the staff of the Medical ICU and COVID ICU at Lewis Gale Medical Center.
