Alberta Caroline Damiano

Alberta Caroline Damiano, 89, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 7, 2021. She was surrounded by her loving family in the days leading to her passing.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Marguerite Torrell; brother and sister-in-law, Ralph and Fifi Torrell; and son, Richard Damiano.

Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband of 75 years, Joseph S. Damiano; sons and daughters-in-law, Joseph R. and Joyce Damiano, and Mark and Betty Damiano; daughter-in-law, Angela Damiano; seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorials be made to the Church of the Transfiguration in Fincastle, VA.

There will be a funeral mass to celebrate Alberta's life 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 10, 2021 at the Church of the Transfiguration in Fincastle with the Rev. Stephen McNally officiating. Interment will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. The family asks that those attending the service observe all Covid protocols by wearing masks and practicing social distancing. Arrangements by Simpson Funeral Home. 366-0707
