James Henry Johnson

James Henry Johnson, 74, of Martinsville, Virginia passed away Wednesday, November 10, 2021, at his home. He was born July 24, 1947, in Durham, North Carolina to the late James Henry Johnson, Sr. and Virginia Medlin Doll. He proudly served his country in the United States Army and attended Freedom Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife Brenda Hairston-Johnson; sons, James Henry Johnson III, Matthew Johnson, Mahlon Hairston and Byron Hairston; sisters, Cameron Foster (Earl), Evelyn Baughm and Charlotte Johnson; grandchildren, Cole Johnson, Chase Johnson and Sabrina Johnson; and one great-grandchild.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, November 20, 2021, at 4:00 P. M. at Wright Funeral Service Chapel.
