James E. "Jim" Urban, Sr.

James E. "Jim" Urban, Sr., 83, of Roanoke passed away Tuesday, November 16, 2021. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Kathleen Lowry Urban, and a brother, Jerry Urban.

Surviving are his companion of 37 years, Nancy Jones; daughters, Lynda Urban and Patricia Flannigan; son, James Edward Urban, Jr.; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; sister, Carol Burns and other family members including Johnny Rickman and Judy Scaggs.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorials be made to Angels of Assisi.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Monday, November 22, 2021 at Simpson Funeral Home 5160 Peters Creek Road. Interment will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
