Karen Lynn Edwards Riggs

Karen Lynn Edwards Riggs, 59, of Bassett, passed away Tuesday, November 23, 2021, at SOVAH Health of Martinsville. She was born March 23, 1962 in Baltimore, Maryland, to Betty Alvita Crouse Edwards and the late Arthur Maynard Edwards. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Janet Turner and Peggy Sue Edwards; and brothers, Scotty Edwards and Larry Edwards.

Karen had been employed by Walmart and was of the Pentecostal Holiness faith. She enjoyed flowers and spending time with her family; especially her grandson.

She is survived by her mother; her husband, Jesse Roger Riggs; daughter, Kristie Perdue; son Christopher Riggs; sister, Valerie Edwards; and her grandson, Elijah Perdue.

The funeral will be Tuesday, November 30, 2021 at 2:00 PM, at Wright Funeral Service Chapel with Pastor Neil Pressley officiating. Visitation will be 30 minutes prior to the service. Burial will follow at Roselawn Burial Park.
