Marie Edwards Wertz

On December 3, 2021, Marie Edwards Wertz, 97, of Salem went to Heaven to see her parents, James and Eugenia Edwards; her beloved husband, Kolmer; and her six siblings.

Marie retired from General Electric after 27 years of service. She was a life-long member of Central United Methodist Church and was instrumental in establishing the Heritage Room.

Left to mourn is her daughter, Pam (Len); son, David (Linda); granddaughter, Kim; grandson, Randy; great grandson, Travis (Shannon); and baby Grayson.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorials be made to the Building Fund C/O Central United Methodist Church 428 S. College Avenue Salem, VA 24153.

Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 am Wednesday, December 8, 2021 at Central United Methodist Church by Pastor Bryan Buckles. Interment will follow in Sherwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Arrangements by Simpson Funeral Home. (540)366-0707
