Betty Jean Hollandsworth

Betty Jean Hollandsworth, 85, of Bassett, passed away on Thursday, December 9, 2021 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Franklin Co, on March 27, 1936 to the late Joe Pete Arrington and the late Annie L. Greer Arrington. She was also preceded in death by her 1st husband Chester Dodson, 2nd husband Larry D. Hollandsworth; brother, Mack Arrington; sisters, Lottie Law, Dee Wray, Judy Hodges, Ella Hambrick and Gertrude Hudson. Betty Jean was a lifetime member of Faith Baptist Church and was a childcare provider for many children for over 55 years.

Surviving a daughter and son – in – law; Cathy McGrady (Jesse); step son, Jeff Hollandsworth (Sandra Young) four grandchildren; Lorri Tate (Stephen), Jonathan Joyce (Beau Saylors), Eric Hollandsworth and Alyssa Hollandsworth; special nephew, Jody Hodges (Kevin) and special niece, Redale Flora and several other nieces and nephews.

The visitation will be Monday, December 13 from 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. in the chapel of Bassett Funeral Service with funeral services to follow at 12 with Dr. David Towler officiating. Burial will follow in the Mount Hermon Church of the Brethren church cemetery.
