Margaret "Margie" Watson Cannady

Margaret “Margie” Watson Cannaday, 78, of Bassett, passed away Tuesday, December 14, 2021, at Stanleytown Health and Rehab. She was born in Axton on January 22, 1943, to the late George Calvin Watson and Ruby McDaniel Watson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Frances Koger; and brother, Avon Lee Watson.

She had been employed as waitress at Jan’s Dutch Boy Drive-In for over 45 years. She was of the Baptist faith, and was always smiling. She loved to joke and she loved people. She was well known through her job.

Margaret is survived by her daughter, Tina Jones (Jimmy); sisters, Patsy Agee and Agnes Wilson; step-sons, Samuel R. Cannaday and Daniel S. Cannaday; and two grandchildren, Jeremiah and Adam Jones.

A graveside service will be held Friday, December 17, 2021, at 11:00 AM at Roselawn Burial Park. A floating visitation will be Thursday, December 16, 2021, from 12:00 to 4:00 PM at Wright Funeral Service Chapel.
