Rodney "Snowball" Hairston

Rodney Jerome "Snowball" Hairston, 82, transitioned on Friday, December 24, 2021 at Sovah Health - Martinsville. He was born September 10, 1939 a son of the late Sidney and Barner Hodge Hairston.
He was the retired owner of RIT Trucking Company.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Ida Hairston, of the home; two daughters, Theresa Bethune, of Axton, VA; and Jeana Hairston, of Martinsville, VA; four sons, Byron Hairston, Glen (Lori) Hairston and Ivan Hairston, all of Martinsville, VA and Tony (Maria) Hairston, of Moneta, VA.
Graveside side services will be held Tuesday, December 28, 2021 at 1:00 PM at the Hairston Family Cemetery on Old Liberty Drive in Axton, VA. Elder Alan Preston will officiate.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday, December 27, 2021 from 2:00 to 6:00 PM and will be at the home at 590 Northfork Road, Martinsville, VA at other times
