Phillip Brent Mabe

Phillip Brent Mabe, 80, of Bassett, Virginia, passed away Monday, January 3, 2022, at SOVAH Health of Martinsville. He was born March 27, 1941, in Pulaski County, Virginia to the late Lee Mabe and Janie Elizabeth Miller Mabe. He proudly served his country in the United States Army and was a member of Fairway Baptist Church. He enjoyed watching westerns, Jeopardy, Wheel of Fortune, hunting and playing cards with his family. " Get them Deers Dad, lol .... "

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Marjorie Wanda Sutphin Mabe; and brother, Charles William Miller.

He is survived by his daughters, Janie Elizabeth Mabe Debien (Neil), Hazel Ginger Mabe Purdy and Bonnie Alvarado; sons, Brent Mabe and Jeffery Wayne Mabe; sister, Nancy Elizabeth (Nana Bunch) Burkindine; grandchildren, Andrea, Justin, Stephen, Benjamin, Malachi, Kelsey, Christina, Amanda and Tim, Jr.; and nine great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, January 7, 2022, at 4:00 PM at Fairway Baptist Church, with Rev. Kirk Montgomery officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
