Gloria Renee Hodge

Gloria Renee Hodge, 60, of Martinsville, Virginia passed away Saturday, January 8, 2022, at her home. She was born March 11, 1961, in Welch, West Virginia to the late James French and Geraldine Jones Giles. She was a member of Passion Praise Ministries, loved to travel, sing, cook, read and care for others.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Michael Hodge; brothers, James French, Jr. and Edward French.

She is survived by her daughters, Kairella Genessa Himphill, Jazmen Necole Titus, Myasia L. Hodge, Laya L. Hodge, Alexis L. Euceda, Skylar L. Euceda; sons, Jonathan Devon Hairston, De’arelajay Hodge, Ryan K. Hodge, Michael Brown Hodge, Trevor B. Hodge, Alexandra C. Hodge, Jacob B. Hodge; sisters, Margaret Knight, Tina Roy (Marvin), Lavonda Hairston, Tamara Hairston, Andrea Hatchett (Bernard); brothers, John W. Hairston III, Darrell Hairston, Vent Hairston, Anthony Ramsey; grandchildren, Kevan J. Manns, Damien N. Hairston, Georgia R. Himphill, Gi’Asia E. Himphill, De’arelajay Hodge, Demarlo Hodge, Taliya Johnson and Armani Hodge; great-grandchildren Blaik Manns and Amari Manns; special daughters, Ashley T. Hairston and Jaliyah S. Hairston; and special grandchildren Lyric Farris and Janylah Farris.

A funeral will be held on Monday, January 17, 2022, at 12:00 Noon at Wright Funeral Service Chapel. Visitation will be one hour before the service. Burial will follow at Carver Memorial Gardens. A floating visitation will be held on Sunday, January 16, 2022, from 12 PM to 5 PM at Wright Funeral Service Chapel.
