Raymond "Jobo" Lee Turner

Raymond “Jobo” Lee Turner, 69, of Ridgeway, Virginia, passed away Friday, January 14, 2022, at his residence. He was born March 22, 1952, in Martinsville, to the late Thomas Kyle Turner Sr. and Amanda Marie Amburn Turner. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Janet Faye Edwards Turner.

He was a Lifetime Member of Ridgeway District Volunteer Rescue Squad, and was of the Baptist faith. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and motorcycles, and loved spending time with family and friends.

Raymond is survived by his daughter, Kim Turner; sons, Johnny Turner (Lycrecia) and Donnie Turner; sisters; Betty Jane Turner, Patricia Ann Easter and Peggy Sue Young (Art); brother, Thomas “Tommy” Kyle Turner Jr; numerous grandchildren; one great-grandchild and another on the way; numerous nieces and nephews; and special friend and mother of his children, Carol Turner.

The funeral will be held on Saturday, January 29, 2022, at 2:00 PM at Wright Funeral Service Chapel with pastor Allen Cogar officiating. Visitation will be 30 minutes prior to the service.
