Marvin L. Pritchett

Marvin L. Pritchett, 79, of Martinsville, Virginia passed away Monday, January 17, 2022, at his home. He was born June 30, 1942, in Pittsylvania County, Virginia to the late Lynwood and Elizabeth Carter Pritchett. He was a taxi driver for over ten years and a member of Mount Zion United Holiness Church. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, bowling, gardening and spending time with family and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters, Shirley, Dorothy, Mildred and Mattie Pritchett; and brothers, Willie, Sonny, James, George and Joe Pritchett.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia Ann Moore Pritchett; daughters, Robin R. Pritchett, Amelia T. Pritchett and Sandra Tinsley; sons, Willie L. Pritchett and Marvin A. Pritchett; sisters, Cassie P. Carter and Martha Lynch; twenty eight grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren.

A funeral will be held Thursday, January 27, 2022, at 2:00 P. M. at Wright Funeral Service Chapel with L. Hagwood officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at the Pritchett Family Cemetery.
