Ruth Puckett Clark

Ruth Puckett Clark, 86, of Bassett, died Monday, January 17, 2022 at the Blue Ridge Therapy Connection in Stuart.  She was born in Patrick County on January 27, 1935 to the late Bennie R. Puckett, Sr. and the late Bessie Goad Puckett.  She was also preceded in death by her husband, Cecil William Clark; two grandchildren, Candace Ruth and Jay Clark; several brothers and sisters.
She was a retired employee of Stanley Furniture.
She is survived by four sons, Robert Clark, James D. “J.D.” Clark, Edwin Clark and Howard Clark; three daughters, Liz Harris, Fran Belcher and Annette Hylton; sixteen grandchildren, twenty-three great grandchildren; eight great great grandchildren; one sister, Ann Pendleton and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Saturday, January 22, 2022 from 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM in the Bassett Funeral Service Chapel where the funeral will follow at 1:00 PM with Rev. Don Reynolds officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Burial Park.
Due to the governor’s requirements for COVID 19, a face covering is recommended and social distancing should be observed when visiting the funeral home.
