Barbara Louise Waid

Mrs. Waid was born on October 9, 1929 in Big Sandy, West Virginia to the late John Wallace and the late Helen Jane Sowers Wallace. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Hope Waid, her son, Johnny Waid and her brother, John L. Wallace. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Bassett.
Mrs. Waid is survived by two daughters, Debbie Short (Frank) of Roanoke, VA, Kim Stuart (Bryan) of Snow Camp, N.C., one son, Tommy Waid of Richmond, VA, one sister-in-law, Virginia F. Wallace of Martinsville, VA, eight grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren.
A visitation will be held on Friday, January 28, 2022 from 12:30 to 1:30 PM at Collins Funeral Home, 30 Riverside Hwy, Bassett, Virginia and a Graveside Service will follow at 2:00 PM in Roselawn Burial Park.
