Betty Ruth Ingram Nolen

Betty Ruth Ingram Nolen, 94, of Bassett died Tuesday, January 18, 2022.  She was born in Henry County on December 28, 1927 to the late Tobe Spencer Ingram and the late Ora Dodson Ingram.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred Charles Nolen.
She was a member of Mount Hermon Church of the Brethren for more than 70 years, where she was a member of the Women’s Fellowship, Deacon and Hilltoppers.  She was a home maker.
Betty Ruth is survived by a daughter, Linda Nolen Joyce (Bernie) and a son, Roger Dale Nolen (Jeannie Conner) all of Bassett; three granddaughters, April Dawn Nolen, Ashley Joyce-Bagwell (Scott) and Erin Kathleen Joyce of Charleston, SC; two great-grandchildren, Westin Joyce-Bagwell and Elizabeth Joyce-Bagwell of Bassett; two sisters, Barbara Ingram Ferguson of Martinsville and Alma Ingram Randall of Bassett; several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Monday, January 24, 2022 from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM at Mount Hermon Church of the Brethren where the funeral will follow at 11:00 AM with Pastor Noel Naff officiating. Burial will follow in the Mount Hermon Church of the Brethren Cemetery.
