Dennis Evan Wilson

Dennis Evan Wilson died of pneumonia on January 17, 2022 in Salem VA. He was 68, a native of St. Louis MO, born on April 30, 1953. He resided in Southwest VA after an honorable discharge from the Army in 1973, and lived out his years on Craig Avenue where he enjoyed visiting with his friends, and watching the sun set every evening out his back window.
Dennis was preceded in death by his parents; Harry Fahr Wilson Jr., and Elizabeth Louise Muench Wilson.
Dennis is survived by his brothers, Randy Wilson and Jefferey Wilson; and sister, Robyn Meyer Wilson; his children, Sara Shea Sculthorpe (and granddaughter Hazel Rhodes), Montana Colleen Sickmen (and grandchildren Eljin Ponyboy, Tobe Josey, and Guthrie Mae), and Erin Ashleigh Henderson (and grandson, Count Albus Michael Hilsley).
Dennis is also survived by his longtime canine companion, George, who lived with him 15 years.
Dennis will never be forgotten by his many friends who loved him very much. He lived life to its fullest and will be sorely missed.
A service will be held at Fairview Cemetery in Roanoke, VA., when his Veteran’s marker is set. The date will be published on this page as soon as it is arranged.
