Carolina "Carla" Sanchez

Carolina "Carla" Sanchez, 91, of Daleville passed away Saturday, January 29, 2022. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carolos Sanchez, Sr.; brother, Miguel Velez; and mother, Carmen Rosa.

Carla came to the Brooklyn, New York from Puerto Rico when she was only 17 years old. She was a former employee of the Brooklyn New York Public Schools and a faithful member of the Jehovah's Witnesses.

Surviving are her children, Carmen S. (Wallace) Post, Nilda Hamilton, Ana Torres, Sylvia (Steven) Golightly, Carlos M. Sanchez, Jr., and Luis M. (Maria T.) Sanchez; nineteen grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; brothers, William and Luis Velez; sister, Gloria Velez; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family would like to offer their special thanks to the staff at Good Samaritan Hospice and to her devoted caregiver, Noeme Eufemia Cedillo for their many acts of care, kindness and compassion.
