Edith "Rosalie" Wray McMillan

Edith “Rosalie” Wray McMillan, 81, of Martinsville, passed away on Sunday, January 30, 2022 in Sovah Health – Martinsville.  She was born on September 22, 1940 in Surry County, NC to the late Graham Wray and the lateEdith Poff Wray.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Elbert C. McMillan, Jr.; son Elbert C. McMillan, III; daughter, Donna Bouldin; brother, Robert Wray; sisters, Renee Combs and Reva Sahli.
She was a member of One Accord Baptist Church and owned the McMillan Restaurant.
Rosalie is survived by her daughters, Elizabeth Graham (Sidney) of Bassett and Becky Sampson (Allan) of Martinsville; grandchildren, Tootie Hunt (Maurice) of Bassett, Alexis Hunt of Bassett, Allison Hunt of Bassett, Alisha Hylton (Tim) of Bassett, Christy Spencer (Jon) of Vinton, Jason Graham (Lauren) of Kingsport, TN, Jeff Sampson (Brooklyn) of Martinsville, Alison Sampson of Martinsville, Josh Sampson Lexington, VA and Amber Sampson of Mississippi); 7 great-grandchildren; sister, Rhonda Humphries of Mt. Airy, NC; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
The family will receive friends on Friday, February 4, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM in the Bassett Funeral Service Chapel and at other times at 145 Chatmoss Court Ext., Martinsvile. The funeral service will follow at 12:00 PM with Miranda Easley officiating.  Burial will follow in the Midkiff Cemetery in Mt Airy, NC with Steve Johnson officiating. 
Due to the governor’s requirements for COVID 19, a face covering is recommended and social distancing should be observed when visiting the funeral home.
