James Gallant

James Gallant, 74, of Martinsville, Virginia passed away Thursday, January 27, 2022, at SOVAH Health of Martinsville. He was born on April 22,1947 in Henry County, Virginia to the late Daniel Gallant and Mattie Lee Scales Gallant. He was employed by Hanes Brand for 26 years. He loved spending time with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his son, Jamie Lorenzo Gallant; sister, Gladys Edwards; brothers, William Gallant (Mickey), Kenneth Gallant (Red), Bobby Gallant; four grandchildren, Takiya Brim, Jaquarius Gallant, Aaliyah Gallant, Jaden Gallant; stepdaughter, Melissa Dodson; and loving devoted companion for fifty years, Jennifer (Jackie) Dodson.

A Graveside Service will be held on Friday, February 4, 2022, at 12:00 PM at Carver Memorial Gardens with Pastor Douglas Scales officiating. A floating visitation will be held Thursday, February 3, 2022, from 12 to 5 PM.
