Regena Gaye Goad Mabry

Regena Gaye Goad Mabry, 77, of Bassett, died Saturday, February 1, 2022 at her home.  She was born in Laurel Fork on April 26, 1944 to the late Fielden Odell Goad and the late Mozelle McPeak Goad.  She was also preceded in death by her husband, J. C. Mabry and a brother, Freamo Goad.
She is survived by four children, Shannon Mabry (Hilda), Sheldon Mabry (Cynthia), Ramona Mabry Adams (Shaun) and Shane Mabry; grandchildren, Brittany Mabry, Austin Mabry, Zachary Mabry, Ashley Adams, Taylor Prillaman; great grandchild, Aligha Smith; brothers and sister, Oumah “Lucky” Goad (Linda), Roland “Cooch” Goad (Shirley), Randall “Butch” Goad, Geneva “Squeaky” Goad and Ronnie Goad (Delilah); sister-in-law, Joyce Goad.
The family will receive friend Saturday, February 5, 2022 from 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM in the Bassett Funeral Service Chapel.  A service will be held Saturday afternoon at 1:30 PM in the Liberty Bible Church, 7456 Dugspar Road, Laurel Fork, Virginia.  Burial will be in the Spence Cemetery.
The family would like to give a special thank you to all of the caregivers Regena had over the last five years for all the kindness and care that was provided.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Stone Memorial Christian Church.
Due to the governor’s requirements for COVID 19, a face covering is recommended and social distancing should be observed when visiting the funeral home.
