Alma Haynes Adams

Alma Haynes Adams, 86, of Bassett, died Wednesday, February 2, 2022 at the Franklin Memorial Hospital.  She was born in Henry County, Virginia on April 26, 1935 to the late Guy Haynes and the late Elsie Clark Haynes.  She was also preceded in death by her husband, Junior Akers Adams; sons, Kenneth Adams and Edward Adams; sister, Helen Feazelle.
She had been a member of Faith Baptist Church for 60 years.
She is survived by a son, Rodney Adams; two daughters, Janet Warnick and Angie Craig (Darrell); daughter-in-law, Cathy Adams; grandchildren, Tonya Wilson (David), Adam Chitwood, Whitley Martin (Michael), Landon Craig; great grandchildren, Amanda McGuire, Leigh Ann Adams (Ethan), Ansley Martin; great great grandchild, Emersyn Adams; two brothers, Norman Haynes and Ronnie Haynes (Mary).
The family will receive friends Saturday, February 5, 2022 from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM in the Bassett Funeral Service Chapel.  The funeral service will be held on Sunday afternoon at 2:00 PM in the Bassett Funeral Service Chapel.  Burial will follow in the Ross Harbour United Methodist Church Cemetery.
Due to the governor’s requirements for COVID 19, a face covering is recommended and social distancing should be observed when visiting the funeral home.
