Robert Lee Dillard

Robert Lee Dillard, 66, of Bassett, passed away on Tuesday, February 8, 2022 at his home. He was born in Martinsville on June 9, 1955 to the late Edd Smith Dillard and the late Rosie Casey Dillard. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a brother, Maurice Dillard.

Robert was a member of Greater Vision Assembly Holiness Church where is was a usher and singer. He also enjoyed playing softball.

Robert is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Ella R. Dillard; daughters, Mesia Dillard-Warner (Justin) and Kathy Holloway (Bryan); son, Robert Lamar Dillard; grandchildren, Jordan Dillard, Jason Dillard, Destiny Warner, Robert L. Dillard, Jr., Dr. Marion Dillard, Keiera Rogers, Tevis Pritchett and Katherine Jones; great grandchildren, Rowen, Kasyn and Nova; sisters, Pastor Fibbie Hairston (James), JoAnn Martin (Roy), Lottie Hairston and Paulette Hairston (Jake); brothers, Frank Dillard (Geralden) and Jerome Dillard (Bishop Lovetta Dillard).

The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 1:00 pm on Monday, February 14, 2022 at Bassett Funeral Service Chapel where a funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 pm with Pastor Fibbie Hairston officiating. Burial will follow the funeral service at Carver Memorial Gardens.

Due to the governor’s requirements for COVID 19, a face covering is recommended and social distancing should be observed when visiting the funeral home.
