Gary Wayne Cassell

Gary Wayne Cassell, 47, of Patrick Springs, passed away on Tuesday, February 8, 2022 at North Regional Hospital in Mt Airy, NC. He was born on April 1, 1974 in Martinsville to Roy Elwood Cassell and the late Nellie Clark Cassell.

In addition to his father, Gary is survived by his loving wife of 2 ½ years, Tabitha Ann Cassell; daughters, Codie Marion (Steven) of Patrick Springs, Cheyanne Cassell of Stuart; Dayton Walter of Florida and Shyann Walter of Stuart; son, Austin Walter of Collinsville; grandchildren, Ivory Scott and Charlee Marion; brother, Roy Cassell, Jr. (Denise) of Patrick Springs; several nephews, cousins and friends.

Friends and family may stop by the funeral home to sign the register and view Gary on Saturday, February 12, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Bassett Funeral Service. A graveside service will be conducted Sunday, February 13, 2022 at 2:30 PM at Old Spoon Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery with Pastor Ed Hartman officiating.

Due to COVID 19, a face covering is recommended and social distancing should be observed when visiting the funeral home.
