Minister Paul K. Martin

Minister Paul K. Martin, 93, of Henry, died Wednesday, February 10, 2022 in Martinsville.  He was born in Henry, Virginia on June 16, 1928 to the late Milton Irvin Martin and the late Bessie East Martin.  He was also preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth “Toni” Joyce Martin; brothers and sister, Jeryl Martin, Janet Trantham, an infant brother and half-brothers, Russell Wade and Leslie Wade.
Paul established and was the minister at the Rocky Mount Church of Christ for many years.  He helped organize the Oak Level and the Collinsville Church of Christ congregations.  He was a lifelong student of the Bible, loved visiting local nursing homes and mentoring to others.
He is survived by a son, Timothy Lee Martin; a daughter, Sheila Martin; five grandchildren and four great grandchildren.  The family will receive friends Monday, February 14, 2022 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM in the Bassett Funeral Service Chapel.  A graveside service will be held Tuesday, February 15, 2022 at 11:00 AM in the Towne Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery with Rick Arrington officiating.
