Samantha Renee Brooks

Samantha Renee Brooks, 39, of Martinsville, passed away Thursday, February 10, 2022, at her home. She was born April 5, 1982 in Franklin County to Venable Cooke and the late Joyce Brooks.

She graduated from Franklin County High School, and enjoyed watching the Dallas Cowboys and Law and Order. She enjoyed sitting on the porch, and spending time with her family. She had been employed by Wendy’s for three years.

In addition to her father, Samantha is survived by her sisters, Cecile Fitzgerald, Michelle Cooke and Mary Hughes; brothers, Timothy Brooks, Ricky Cooke and Elmer Lee Shelton; special niece, Timara Brooks; special friend, Forlanzo Turner; and a host of other nieces, nephews, family and friends.

The funeral will be Tuesday, February 15, 2022, at 2:30 PM at Wright Funeral Service Chapel, with visitation one hour prior to the funeral. A floating visitation will be Monday, February 14, 2022 from 1:00 to 5:00 PM at Wright Funeral Service Chapel.
