Milton Hampton Feagans, Jr.
It is with our deepest sorrows we announce that Milton Hampton Feagans Jr. of Bedford Virginia, passed away peacefully on the early morning of February 6, 2022. Milton Hampton Feagans Jr. was born in the District of Columbia on May 25, 1927 to the parents of Milton Hampton and Marion L. Feagans. After graduating from high school, Milton enlisted in the Navy in 1945. After World War 2, Milton then joined the Air Force where he was stationed in Turkey, Virginia and Nebraska. In 1956 Milton met and married Dixie May Cornwell. They went on to have five children, Cathern Ann Feagans, Milton Hampton Feagans IV, Mary Lee Feagans, Stephen Robert Feagans and James Patrick Feagans. On 11 August of 2002 Milton married Ann Lee Thomas of Bedford Virginia. Milton and Ann were very active in the Peaks View Christian Church. They enjoyed many activities together including square dancing, traveling and caring for their beloved animals Frosty and Simba. Milton was proceeded by siblings Barbra, Sugar, Francis, Luis and Gerald; his son James and his grandchildren Christian and Angelina. He is survived by his loving wife Ann Thomas Feagans; sister, Anita Minor; brother, Steven Feagans; sons, Milton H. Feagans and Stephen R. Feagans; daughters, Katherine A. Feagans and Mary L. Valdez; his grandchildren, Allison Cockerill, Brianna Benjamin, John Feagans, Angie McCaffrey Lazlo, Ashley Feagans, Alyssa Feagans, Sean Warren, Eamonn McCaffrey, Mariah Feagans, Victoria McCaffrey; and great-grandchildren, Aries Cockerill, Ira Cockerill, Landon Benjamin, Audra Benjamin, Achilles Lazlo. A memorial service is being planned for a later date. In lieu of sending flowers, please make a donation to the Parkinson’s Disease Foundation Inc. Arrangements are being provided by Burch Messier Funeral home and cremation service, Bedford Virginia.
