Barbara Jean Hayes Wade

Barbara Jean Hayes Wade, 76, of Fieldale, Virginia received her wings on Saturday, February 12, 2022, at her home. She was born January 10, 1946, in Henry County, Virginia to the late Floyd and Nora Watkins Hayes. She was a member of St. James Pentecostal Holiness Church where she was also the mother of the church and played the keyboard. She was treasurer of The Greater International Pentecostal Holiness Church and YPHA choirs at St. James Pentecostal Holiness Church. She was also a Sunday School Teacher. She had worked at Eastman for over twenty years.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Irene Hayes Hahn.

She is survived by her husband, John Wade; sons, Marcus Wade (Nicole) and Kendrick Wade; sisters, Yvonne Lipford, (Raleigh), Mildred Ward (Ernie) and Loys Hayes; brothers, Floyd Hayes, Jr., Stafford Hayes, Michael M. Hayes (Michelle) and Don Hayes; grandchildren, Jonathan M. Wade and Morgan D. Wade.

A funeral will be held on Tuesday, February 22, 2022, at 1:00 P. M. at Carver Assembly Building with Pastor Bobby Agnew officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at St. James Pentecostal Holiness Church Cemetery.
