Elizabeth Ellen Thomason

Elizabeth Ellen Thomason of Martinsville passed away on February 16, 2022 at King's Grant in Martinsville.
She was born on December 28, 1931, in Henry County to the late Nancy Ruth Draper Thomason and Posie Thomason. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters Mavis Rice and Carlene Blankenship, brother Kermon Thomasson and niece Nancy Hillsman.
She is survived by her sister-in-law Margaret Thomason, nieces Donna Anthony, Celia Cruise, Delia Olson, and nephew Galen Thomasson. Also surviving are grand nieces and nephews, a great-grandniece, three great-grand nephews and one great-great-grandnephew.
Ellen was a 1950 graduate of Martinsville High School, Pensacola Junior College, and was a Certified Professional Secretary (CPS). She retired from Monsanto Company in Pensacola, Florida, in 1993 after 39 years. She was a lifelong member of Jones Chapel Church of the Brethren.
Ellen felt blessed to be able to do extensive travel during her retirement, both domestically and internationally. She considered these great learning experiences.
Visitation will be held at 10AM on Friday February 25th at Jones Chapel Church. Funeral services will be held at 11AM immediately after visitation. Burial will follow at Roselawn Burial Park.
