Daniel Arthur Toms

Daniel Arthur Toms, 74 of Bedford, VA passed away Wednesday, December 14, 2022 at Oakwood Health & Rehab. Center. He was born on Sunday, June 6, 1948 in Bedford County, a son of the late Oliver Arrington Toms and Clara Dean Wood Toms. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Vickie Lynn Harris Toms.

He was retired from Rubatex Corporation and was a retired Master Sergeant in the U. S. Army National Guard.

He is survived by his sons, Richard Warren Toms (Jody), William Randall Toms; his daughter, Phyliss Annette Toms; his grandchildren, Kord M. Witt (Abby), Kyle Coleman, Kason Toms, Austin Beaty (Julia) William Christian Herndon; his great-grandchildren, Walker M. Witt, Beckley L. Beaty.

A graveside services will be held at 2 PM on Sunday, February 20, 2022 at Suck Spring Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. William Clark, Rev. Jay Dagenhart and Rev. Pat Toney officiating. The family will receive friends Saturday from 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Bedford.
