Wade Hiram Baldwin

October 4, 1940 - February 17, 2022

Wade Hiram Baldwin, 81, of Pamplin, died at Lynchburg General Hospital on February 17, 2022, after a long illness. He was the husband of Hallie Simmons Baldwin.
Born on October 4, 1940, in Charlotte County, he was the son of the late Cleve Willis Baldwin and Laura Ferguson Baldwin. He sold vegetables and plants in Appomattox for 36 years and loved to fish and play poker. Wade was an avid hunter of old bottles and clay pipes and enjoyed singing old gospel songs. He was a member of Beale Memorial Presbyterian Church.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his sister, Eva Tolbert of Maryland; his sister-in-law, Patsy Price of Pamplin; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by five brothers, Willis Baldwin, Wiley Baldwin, Howard Baldwin, David Baldwin, and Ernest Baldwin; and four sisters, Mary Ellen Hamlett, Grace Bucknam, Ann Lee, and Janie Chapman.
A funeral service will be held 2 p.m., Monday, February 21, 2022, at Robinson Funeral Home with Rev. Sidney Wade officiating. Burial will follow at Rocks Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral service.
